Enjoy warm temperatures; found on ceilings, things high on wall such as pictures, wall molding, appliance motors and switches

Prefer warm and humid places, although will infest anywhere food particles are left

Entry

Can gain entry many ways including drainage pipes

Enter house through conduits, under doors and drains.

Attracted by light; will squeeze through any crack or crevice to gain entry

Attracted by warm environment; will gain entry as hitch-hiker or through door thresholds, etc

Invade as hitchhikers in grocery bags, 2nd hand appliances, or other items brought into house.

Very common species

Have strong "roachy" odor due to their diet

Good flyers so can enter through attic
